This 446-acre county park features swimming, boating, disc golf, picnicking, playgrounds, fishing, hiking, biking, rollerblading, and sand volleyball. Kayaks for rent and a launch site for canoes, kayaks, and motorized boats with ten or less horsepower. A variety of programs and events are offered throughout the year, including nature programming, disc golf tournaments, and yoga. Blue Heron Bay Spray Park, open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, includes water play structures, geysers, jets, and slides. Snack bar at the beach center and concessions at Blue Heron Bay operate 11 a.m.–6 p.m. Blue Heron Bay admission: $4 for Washtenaw County residents, $5 for nonresidents. Vehicle park entrance fees: county residents $6/day, seniors (age 62+) $3, nonresidents $10, nonresident seniors $6.
