The chief policymaking body of county government, the board has 9 members elected to 4-year terms. Commissioners’ duties include adopting the countywide budget (quadrennial and annual reaffirmations), crafting policies that govern county operations (including staff, facilities, and assets), and making appointments to/serving on boards, committees, and commissions.
