new roots
begin in fields of fresh berries,
speckled with seasonal pumpkins
blue brick roads lead to aerial silks
filled with Pacific significance
fingers sculpt clay cows
to the beat of spongey jazz sequences
upon Huron peaks and patios,
cherry tomatoes blossom
within rivers of ginger,
we witness ancient wisdom
emanating from young murals,
(re)kindling reverence
for every shape and soundscape
