Lynnea Harris spent three years playing professional volleyball overseas. “My job in Italy was to perform or I didn’t get paid,” she says. “I was drinking like one or two [protein] shakes a day. I was in the best shape of my entire life.”
Back stateside, she became a personal trainer and earlier this year opened Pulse Nutrition, serving energy teas and eighty different protein shakes as meal replacements or post-workout replenishment. She also offers protein iced coffees and protein treats—cookies on Mondays, balls on Wednesdays, doughnuts on Fridays.
The Belleville native says she’s heartened by the reception Pulse has received and hopes for synergy with new neighbor HITT Happy, a fitness club with personal training and nutritional counseling.
