Ann Arbor, MI—Service at 4 p.m., Reception at 5 p.m. and Bonfire at 6:30 p.m. Per Pauline’s wishes “Bright Colors only! No Somber Black or Grey.” All who knew and loved her are welcome.
Pauline, age 90, passed away on July 1, 2024 with family at her side. She was born January 18, 1934 to Herman and Elizabeth Loewenhardt. She grew up in Detroit and later lived in Milwaukee, WI and Tampa, FL. During the polio epidemic, while in middle school, she contracted polio. Sustained by an iron lung at Herman Kiefer Hospital in Detroit for months, she beat the polio. The resilience she built by overcoming polio provided her with the iron will to live the full life she did. Pauline obtained a Master’s Degree in Nursing. She loved writing, and published numerous articles on various subjects as well as a book, Almost Lost, about her family history. She loved her UUAA Writers group; bonfires and river trips with her UUAA Outdoor Women’s group; and singing with her beloved choral group, the Gaia Chorus.
Pauline is survived by her children, Morgan (Therese) Wolf, Joseph Klobucar (Linda Stingl), Peter Klobucar; grandchildren, Shelby Klobucar, Aris (Aeon) Molnar, Casey Klobucar, Romeo Klobucar; brother, Hubert; and sister-in-law, Sue.
