“Where Do We Go from Here?”: African American Cultural and Historical Museum of Washtenaw County/Riverside Arts Center

Feb. 11 & 17. Events held in conjunction with an exhibit of works by local Black artists in various media (see Galleries). (Feb. 11, 2–4 p.m.): Artist Talk. Some of the artists included in the show discuss their motives for making art, their process, and their future plans. (Feb. 17, 2–4 p.m.): Local History Spotlight. Panel discussion about African American life in Ypsilanti, with remembrances shared by local residents and members of the Palm Leaf Club, the oldest African American women’s social organization in Ypsilanti. (Feb. 17, 6–8 p.m.): Youth Night. Panel discussion by Black Ypsilanti young people TBA on “where do we go from here?” Also, a poetry reading and musical performance. Various times, RAC, 76 N.
