Sept. 2: “Weird A.I. Double Feature.” Two movies about supercomputers run amok: Colossus: The Forbin Project (Joseph Sargent, 1970) is about a sentient missile defense system that attempts to assume control of the world and end all war for the good of mankind, and WarGames (John Badham, 1983) is about a young computer hacker who accidentally accesses a military supercomputer that threatens to start World War 3.
