“Underground Railroad Bus Tour”: African American Cultural & Historical Museum of Washtenaw County/Ypsilanti District Library-Whittaker Branch
AACHM board member Deborah Meadows leads a bus tour of Ypsilanti and Pittsfield Township sites that were part of the Underground Railroad and of the historic African American community. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to view the library’s exhibit “From Darkness to Light: Photos along the Underground Railroad by Jeanine Michna-Bales” (see Galleries), which will be discussed during the tour.
