“Top of the Park”: Ann Arbor Summer Festival
See 13 Friday. Tonight in the KidZone: Ann Arbor Symphony members host an Instrument Petting Zoo (5 p.m.). In the Annex Tent: Spoken Word Night (7 p.m.) with Detroit poet Madeline October. On the Power Center Lawn: Kickboxing (5:30 p.m.) with Omega Martial Arts Saline staff. On the O&W Grove Stage: Detroit singer-songwriter Lorian Janine (5 p.m.), and local pop-folk singer-songwriter Anne Erlewine (5:45 p.m.). On the Rackham Stage: Detroit-based funk & soul singer (and trans activist) Baddie Brooks (6:45 p.m.), and Detroit-based Native American hip-hop rapper Victorino (8 p.m.). The music is followed at 9:30 p.m. by a screening of Inside Out 2, the 2024 Disney animated adventure about various conflicting emotions living inside the brain of an adolescent girl. 5–11 p.m.
