The Third Place Music Fest
June 4–7 (different locations). Four-day festival focused on casual access to music with performances of folk, singer-songwriter, classical, and experimental music by U-M students, local musicians, and performers from across the Midwest at various venues throughout town. Today: Detroit experimental minimalist violinist & violist Magnolia Rohrer and Dr. Prof. Leonard King’s Proportioned Orchestra, a Detroit quintet led by veteran vocalist-drummer King that plays blues, jazz, rock, and more. 7 p.m., Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, 220 E. Ann. Tickets $3–$10 sliding scale at the door; festival pass, $20–$70 sliding scale at thirdplacemusic.org/2025festival or at the door.
