“The Rocky Horror Show”: EMU Theatre Department

Feb. 13–16. Phil Simmons and R. MacKenzie Lewis direct EMU students in Richard O’Brien’s beloved 1973 rock musical, a delightful send-up of campy horror films about a fresh-scrubbed young couple who find themselves unexpected guests at the eerie home of Dr. Frank-N-Furter with a bunch of scantily clad Transylvanians. The score includes such favorites as “Sweet Transvestite” and “The Time Warp.” Audience participation encouraged; participation kits available in the lobby for an additional fee. Suggested for mature audiences. 7 p.m. (Thurs. & Fri.), 5 & 10 p.m. (Sat.), and 2 p.m. (Sun.), EMU Legacy Theatre, 1030 E Circle Dr., Ypsilanti. Tickets $20 (seniors, $15; students, $12) in advance at emich.ludus.com & at the box office (10 a.m.–5 p.m. Mon.–Fri.), and (if available) at the door. (734) 487–2282.
