“The Hunchback of Notre Dame”: Father Gabriel Richard High School Dramalums.
July 25–28. Gabriel Richard students and recent grads perform the Disney musical by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz based on Victor Hugo’s novel about the deformed bell-ringer Quasimodo who’s held prisoner in Notre Dame cathedral. When he escapes for a day, he’s treated cruelly by all but the beautiful gypsy Esmeralda. The score includes songs from the 1996 animated film, including “Out There.” 7 p.m. (Thurs.-Sat.) & 2 p.m. (Sun.), Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre.
