Cuban-born writer Ruth Behar, a U-M anthropology professor, discusses how shared stories can bring people together across borders and differences, creating unique moments of connection. Her new novel is Across So Many Seas, a young adult epic that tells the stories of girls from different generations of a Jewish family, many of them forced to leave their country and start a new life. 4 p.m., Vandenberg Room | Second Floor Michigan League.
