“Sun Moon Secret”: Detroit Puppet Company (University Musical Society Ypsilanti Freighthouse Residency)
Apr. 5 (11 a.m. & 1 p.m.): Detroit Puppet Company members perform a shadow puppet play based on a children’s book by Shazia Omar about twin sisters who harness magical powers to save their village from drought. Then they lead kids ages 3–18 and their families in an interactive workshop on how to make and use shadow puppets. Ypsilanti Freighthouse, 100 Market Pl., Ypsilanti.
