June 13 & 26. Local writer and fragrance expert Michelle Krell Kydd leads guided smellings of different scents. June 13: “Cultivating a Vocabulary for Scented Roses” explores the components of rose scents. June 26: “A Curious Menagerie of Plant-Based Musks and Ethical Animalics” examines synthetic scents inspired by animal chemistry designed for use in perfumes and functional fragrance products like candles, shampoo and detergents. 6–7:30 p.m., AADL Downtown 4th fl.
