Performance by this Houston-bred Americana singer-songwriter who got his start as the bassist in Ricky Scaggs’ Kentucky Thunder. His music is called Americana just because it’s hard to classify further; it contains elements of country, jazz, gospel, folk, and more. In concert he plays his DataBass, an upright bass that incorporates a variety of MIDI samples, allowing him to perform as a one-man-band. 6:30–7:30 p.m., AADL Downtown. Free. (734) 327–4200.
