“Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead”: Dexter Community Players

Mar. 13–16. David Culliton directs local actors in Tom Stoppard’s 1966 absurdist black comedy inspired by Shakespeare’s Hamlet. It concerns 2 minor characters from the play, old school chums of the prince of Denmark, and depicts them as hapless pawns, vainly trying to make sense of their existence while impersonal political forces inexorably shape their fate. 7 p.m. (Thurs.–Sat.) & 2 (Sun.), HOMES Campus, 112 Jackson Plz., Ann Arbor. Tickets $20 (seniors & students, $15) in advance at dextercommunityplayers.org & at the door. (734) 726–0355.
