Peter Madcat Ruth’s CARMa Quartet / The Howard Levy 4: The Ark
Two harmonica virtuosos and their two quartets, together in concert for the first time.
Howard Levy is a superb pianist, and a master of the diatonic harmonica. He is probably best know for being a founding member of Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, with whom he won a Grammy 1997, and another Grammy in 2012.
Harmonica player and Ann Arbor resident, Peter Madcat Ruth, and his band, the C.A.R.Ma. Quartet, play an eclectic blend of traditional and improvisational music. His current band includes bassist Brennan Andes, drummer John Churchville, and guitarist Dan Ripke.
