“O Christmas Tea: A British Comedy”: Marquee Arts
David MacMurray Smith directs the absurdist British comedy duo James & Jamesy (aka Aaron Malkin and Alastair Knowles) in a show that uses physical comedy, imaginative writing, and audience participation in the tradition of classic British Christmas pantos, which combine familiar children’s stories with vaudevillian hijinks. The setting is a Christmas tea party that spins into chaos, flooding the world with tea and resulting in “complete and utter fun … for all ages” according to the CBC. James & Jamesy are an Edinburgh Fringe Festival hit who have won the London Impresario Award three times. 7:30 p.m., Michigan Theater.
