Next level coffee brewing!: Curious Coffee
This workshop has one aim: to get you brewing great coffee at home!
In this hands-on workshop organized by Curious Coffee participants get to try different methods and brewers and work with a range of Curious Coffee's beans. The workshop is limited to nine participants, so you get the hands-on attention you need.
During the session you will be able to brew with coffees from the Curious Coffee standard and premium range roasts. There will also be a range of brewers and some kettles available. If you can bring your favourite brewer, kettle and scales, then we will have even more options.
I will brew my coffees using recipes from the Curious Coffee cafe and I will also demonstrate some overextracted and underextracted brews so that you can fine tune your taste buds and know how to evaluate your brews.
Resource materials and workshop notes will be provided, so that during the session we can really make the most of the time experimenting together and brewing coffee. This will not be a two-hour lecture on the history of coffee or the science behind coffee extraction!
This workshop is taught by Mike Bawden who has twenty years’ experience in course design and teaching. It will be relaxed and fun and you'll leave equipped with new skills and knowledge.
Some prior experience brewing at home is desirable. The course is aimed at everyone from beginners to more advanced brewers.
