July 23: “La Traviata.” Prerecorded broadcast of the Metropolitan Opera’s 2018 production of Verdi’s ever popular 1853 opera about a Parisian courtesan who sacrifices her one chance at happiness when she learns that her relationship with her lover is compromising his family’s honor. The score contains many of the most famous arias in the operatic repertoire, including the lilting drinking song “Libiamo, libiamo,” the brilliant coloratura aria “Sempre libera,” and the majestic “Di Provenza el mar.” Stars soprano Diana Damrau and tenor Juan Diego Flórez. Italian, subtitles. 1 & 6:30 p.m.
