“Josquin’s Legacy”: The Gesualdo Six (Academy of Early Music)
This renowned 6-man British vocal consort performs music of the Franco-Flemish school from the repertoire of Italian Renaissance courts. Highlights include Josquin des Prez’s Nymphes des bois, written on the death of his master, and Johannes Ockeghem’s sublime Intemerata Dei mater.
