Acclaimed actor, writer, and director John Cameron Mitchell discusses his work, which is often transgressive and explores identity, love, and self-acceptance. His rock musical, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, in which he starred, won two Tony awards, and was later adapted into a well-reviewed 2001 film. His 2010 film Rabbit Hole starred Nicole Kidman and garnered Kidman an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.
