“Gulmira’s Fairy Tales”: U-M Stamps School of Art & Design Penny Stamps Speaker Series
Russian-born mixed-media artist Glukya (Natalia Pershina-Yakimanskaya) screens her 2022 short film that depicts a Kyrgyz TV host telling a series of feminist fairy tales. Followed by a discussion with CREES director Elizabeth King and U-M art professor Irina Aristarkhova.
