“Fun Fest 2025”: Fundamental Sound Co.
Outdoor performances by local music acts, including the Ypsilanti trip-surf quartet Jacuzzi Beach (1 p.m.), the eclectic local soul & hip-hop collective Violet Sol (2 p.m.), the local jazz-inflected neo-soul singer-songwriter Dani Darling (3:30 p.m.), local acoustic soul singer and guitarist Al Bettis (5 p.m.), the C.A.R.Ma. Quartet (6:30 p.m.), an all-star ensemble, led by world-renowned veteran local harmonica wiz Peter Madcat Ruth, that plays an eclectic mix of traditional and improvisational music, a jazz ensemble led by Detroit saxophonist Marcus Elliot (8 p.m.), and the local funk-rock quartet Ma Baker (9:30 p.m.). Also, an aerial performance by Cassie Catania, art and vintage clothing for sale, a bounce house for kids, concessions, and more. Followed by an afterparty at Ziggy’s.
