“Frozen Jr.”: Ann Arbor Civic Theatre Junior Theatre

Mar. 14–16. Denyse Clayton directs young local performers in a one-act version of the 2018 Broadway musical, itself based on the hit 2013 animated movie, a loose adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen. It tells the story of Queen Elsa of Arendelle, whose self-seclusion in an ice palace prompts her younger sister Anna to attempt to find her, aided by a cast of characters including Olaf the snowman and Kristoff the ice vendor. The musical features numbers like “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and the Academy Award-winning “Let It Go.” Kids’ ticket includes a souvenir magic wand. 7 p.m. (Fri.), 11 a.m. (Sat.), & 3 p.m. (Sat. & Sun.), Arthur Miller Theatre, 1226 Murfin.
