Explosions in the Sky: Live Nation
This Austin-based post-rock band comes to town on its first tour since 2019. With no vocals and little spectacle, the band’s instrumental music features elaborately developed guitar melodies known for their deep emotional resonance. Described as “moody” and “crescendo-heavy” by AllMusic reviewer Mark Deming, the quartet has recorded a number of soundtracks, including one for the film Friday Night Lights. This tour has been dubbed “The End Tour,” because it showcases material from the band’s 2023 album End. 7:30 p.m., Michigan Theater.
