Dexter Summer Festival”: Dexter Area Chamber of Commerce
See 8 Friday. Today’s festivities begin with a parade (10 a.m.) down Main St. from Hudson, then left on Broad to Grand. Today’s live music at Monument Park: blues, rockabilly, and more by the Gregory quartet the Gravel Shakers (noon), the vintage Ventures-style instrumental surf guitar band Surf Zup (4 p.m.), and Bernadette Kathryn & the Lonely Days Band (8 p.m.), a Detroit-based country ensemble fronted by vocalist Kathryn. At Broad and Grand: the local pop-rock quartet Spark (2 p.m.), and the veteran Detroit-based soul and R&B ensemble the Metro Soul Band (6 p.m.). 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
