With U-M public policy professor Kaitlin Raimi, U-M water environmental policy professor Mike Shribert, and Michigan Department of the Environment chief of staff Kara Cook. Racial Justice and Public Policy” (10:45 a.m.). With University of Chicago political science professor Cathy Cohen, Northwestern University communication professor E. Patrick Johnson, U-M health policy professor Paula Lantz, and U-M public policy professors Ann Chih Lin and Mo Torres. “The State of Democracy Around the World” (1 p.m.). With former deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun, and U-M public policy professors Jenna Bednar and Kamissa Camara, a former chief of staff to the Malian president. American Democracy at the Crossroads” (3:15 p.m.). With Ford School dean Celeste Watkins-Hayes and former Georgia House of Representatives minority leader Stacey Abrams, a voting rights activist largely credited for the turnout boost that enabled President Biden to win Georgia in 2020. Ford school faculty, staff, and students may attend the Stacey Abrams event in person; members of the public are invited to register to watch the livestream.
