“Cause Play”: EMU Theatre Department
Apr. 3–6. EMU drama students present the world premiere of EMU grad Shavonne Coleman’s superhero coming-of-age story. Set in 1996, it tells the story of 3 Detroit students who discover that they have superpowers. Recommended for ages 9 & up. The Thursday preview is followed by a chance for the audience to share their responses, and the Sunday performance is accompanied by American Sign Language. 7 p.m. (Thurs.–Sat.) and 2 p.m. (Sat. & Sun.), EMU Sponberg Theatre, 124 Judy Sturgis Hill Bldg., 1030 E.
