Carl Phillips: U-M English Department Zell Visiting Writers Series

This celebrated writer and poet, whose work addresses issues of spirituality, sexuality, mortality, and faith, reads from and discusses his work. His collection Then the War: And Selected Poems 2007-2020 won the 2023 Pulitzer Prize. Phillips has been described by the Kenyon Review as “one of America’s most original, influential, and productive of lyric poets.” Q&A.
