“Bat Boy: The Musical”: U-M Musical Theatre Department
Oct. 10–13 & 17–20. U-M musical theater students perform Keythe Farley, Brian Flemming, & Laurence O'Keefe’s quirky, well-loved 1997 musical (the only musical based on a story in the erstwhile Weekly World News) about a half-bat, half-boy creature found living in a West Virginia cave, and of his struggles to fight prejudice, take his place in society, and even find love. 7:30 p.m. (Thurs.–Sat.) & 2 p.m. (Sat. & Sun.), Encore Musical Theatre, 3126 Broad St., Dexter.
