“Azad Storytelling: Interactive Karagoz Puppetry Experience”: U-M Center for Armenian Studies
Traditional Armenian storytelling by Armenian actress and storyteller Sona Tatoyan. Accompanied by Karagoz shadow puppetry by Ayhan Hulaguand and live music by Harry Kezelian on the oud (a fretless Middle Eastern lute), she relates her family’s painful history from the Armenian genocide to the Syrian war. 7–8:30 p.m., Residential College Keene Theater, 701 E.
