“Annual Song Fest 2024”: Chelsea District Library
Oct. 11 & 12. This two-day festival begins with a performance by singer-songwriter Gary Louris, frontman of the Jayhawks, the seminal Minneapolis country-flavored folk-rock trio whose blend of Dylan, the Beatles, and Buck Owens was a major influence on the emergence of alt-country. His performance is preceded by an interview with WEMU-FM Roots Music Project host Jeremy Baldwin.
