Annual Festival at St. Joseph Church Dexter
July 12–14. Games, kids activities, a cakewalk, a dodgeball game, and a kickball tournament, and free throw, golf chipping, & soccer goal contests. Also, family-friendly dramatic and musical vignettes by Encore Musical Theatre (Fri. 6:30–9:30 p.m.), an art and craft sale (Sat. noon–8 p.m. & Sun. noon–5 p.m.), a classic car show (Sat. noon–3:30 p.m.), a magic show (Sat. 1 p.m.), a performance by Eric the Juggler (Sun. 1–3 p.m.), and a showing of animals by Wildlife Safari (Sun. 1–4 p.m.). Food, beer & wine. Live music includes the late 1930s swing and 1940s R&B band II-V-I Orchestra (Sat. noon–2 p.m.), the electro-pop violin ensemble Nuclassica (Sat. 2:30–4 p.m.), the local horn-powered Motown/Memphis soul tribute band Salmagundi (Sat. 4:30–6:30 p.m.), the 60s tribute band Magic Bus (Sat. 7–9:45 p.m.), the polka band Kielbasa Kings (Sun. 2–3:30 p.m.), and others. 6:30–9:30 p.m. (Fri.), Noon–10 p.m. (Sat.), & 11 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (Sun.), St. Joseph Catholic Church grounds, Mast at North Territorial, Dexter.
