Followed by performances by student jazz ensembles (4:30 p.m.), hard-driving bop-era swing by the Laura Simone Trio (5:30 p.m.), and the Rick Roe Trio (7 p.m.), a local jazz ensemble led by Roe, a pianist whose repertoire includes Disney songs, Star Wars themes, TV themes, classical pieces, and Thelonious Monk classics, along with wildly inventive originals. With late-night performances at the Ravens Club (see Nightspots listing). 2–8:30 p.m., First Congregational Church, 608 E. William. Free; donations accepted. (734) 769–2999, a2jazzfest.com.
