A2 Earth Day: Leslie Science & Nature Center
Educational displays, art projects, and hands-on experiments on a wide range of environmental topics, including green building technologies, commuting, energy, water awareness, sustainable agriculture, and more. The festival also includes the annual “All Species Parade” (2 p.m.), in which participants dress in animal costumes and other colorful festive attire. With craft activities for kids and live music by Joe Reilly, a popular local singer-songwriter whose playful songs draw on blues, Native American, and other traditional American idioms and address ecological and spiritual themes. 1–4:30 p.m., LSNC, 1831 Traver.
