“23 Mile”: Cinetopia International Film Festival
Cinetopia International Film Festival. June 13—23. This Ann Arbor Summer Festival/Cinetopia collaboration features dozens of films—many of them Michigan premieres—screened over 10 days at the Michigan Theater (MI) and State Theatre (State). Includes narrative feature-length films and documentaries that recently premiered at international festivals such as Sundance and Berlin. Tickets $16 (Michigan Theater members, $13); 4-pack, $60 (Michigan Theater members, $45); festival passes, $125-$295 in advance at marquee-arts.org/cinetopia and at the door. The films are listed in order of first screening below.
June 18 (State) and 21 & 22 (MI): “23 Mile” (Mitch McCabe, 2024). Experimental documentary that follows ordinary Michigan citizens engaged in political activities across the spectrum. 7:45 p.m. (Tues.), 4 p.m. (Fri.), & 7:30 p.m. (Sat.).
