2025 Milan MI Pride Parade: Moving Milan Forward and American 1 Credit Union
The Milan community will celebrate Pride with a rally at Tolan Square, speakers and, in the streets, with a parade ending at Neckel Ct.
Back for the 4th year, the goal of the event is to make sure that LGBTQ+ individuals know that they are welcome, that they belong not only within the LGBTQ+ community but as an important part of the greater community. Our Milan community is better for prioritizing inclusion and celebrating the strengths that are driven by diverse perspectives. Most importantly, there is support and no matter who you are or how you identify, your life is precious. There is a strong commitment amongst advocates and allies in this city and we never want anyone, especially, a young person to question their worth… period. And, certainly, not because of societal oppression around sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
This year, Eli Savit, Washtenaw Co. Prosecutor, Felicia Brabec (running for State Senate in 2026) and ARC MILAN will be returning speakers at this year’s event. “It is important for the community to hear about the current legislative landscape directly from those who represent and advocate for us. It’s AS important for us to be seen and to share this common space together. None of us are alone…we are in this together.” says organizer, Laura Russeau.
This not-for profit, grassroots event is organized by a community member and local inclusion advocate, Laura Russeau, DBA “My Events.” This year, it is sponsored by local nonprofit, Moving Milan Forward, and American 1 Credit Union.
