Quickie Burger & Dogs, which opened last year at State and Hill with a sexually suggestive logo that delighted the frat boys and infuriated the campus feminist contingent, now has a Class C liquor license. It’s the only Class C within several blocks, and according to Maria Arman, mother of Quickie Burger owner Varujan Arman, plenty of customers lined up outside on January 3 when they unveiled their twelve-beer tap, their machine that dispenses Jägermeister for Jägerbombs (a shot dropped into a Red Bull), and their blended frozen margaritas, daiquiris, and piña coladas. From street level Quickie Burger looks like a tiny place with only a small counter; there’s a basement room with tables.
