50th Annual Dexter–Ann Arbor Run: Ann Arbor Track Club
Since 1974, this race, the area’s biggest running event, draws thousands of runners from throughout Southeast Michigan. Includes a half-marathon, 10K run, and 5K run and fitness walk. All races conclude on Main Street between Miller and Ann. Preceded on June 1 by a Kids Run (see Kids Calendar) at U-M Ferry Field, E. Hoover at S. State. The 10K run (7:15 a.m., age 9 and up) begins downtown at 425 N. Main. The 5K run (8:30 a.m., age 6 and up) begins north of M-14 at 2060 Newport between Riverwood and Alexandra. The half-marathon (8:30 a.m., age 13 and up) starts at Creekside Intermediate School in Dexter. Various times and places. Entry fees for individuals: $47 (5K), $60 (10K), & $95 (half-marathon) in advance only at dxa2.com before 4 p.m. on June 1.
