Mar. 20: “National Theatre Live: Vanya.” Broadcast of a taped 2023 National Theatre (London) production of the acclaimed actor Andrew Scott’s one-man performance of Chekov’s bleakly funny masterpiece Uncle Vanya. This radical adaptation by writer Simon Stephen, directed by Sam Yates, garnered both high praise and reservations. London Theatre said it “will stick with you for a lifetime,” while the New York Times thought the format “ultimately doesn’t quite do justice to the play’s moral complexity and emotional resonance.” 7 p.m. $16 (students, children under 12, vets, and seniors, $13).
