Q. How deep are Barton Pond, Argo Pond, and Geddes Pond?

A. All three are impoundments, with water levels controlled by dams. According to the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE), the dam heights at Barton, Argo, and Geddes are twenty-four, twenty-five, and eighteen feet, respectively. That approximates the original pond depths, though they have since been reduced several feet by sediment accumulation.
