So, funny story:
We always include the name of last month’s winner in the new Fake Ad. Thats how Fake Adders can confirm that the ad they think is the Fake Ad really is the Fake Ad. We do that every month.
Until last month. Last month, we mistakenly left the last name of the previous winner, Steven Worden, out of the Update. When we realized our error, we emailed as many Fake Adders as we could to tell them the name, and we added the name to our website, but still, the name never appeared in the issue and we wondered if anyone would be able to find the Fake Ad.
And? Even without the last name to go by, 153 Fake Adders still managed to send in entries correctly identifying the Fake Ad for Neverworn on page 73 of the October issue. Two people even guessed Steven’s last name just from the ad.
Amazing. No name, no problem. So this month, we’re making it even more difficult. To qualify, you must find the Fake Ad while blindfolded, in a straitjacket, while hanging upside down from a helicopter, submerged in water infested with rabid sharks. Good luck!
Our winner was Leigh HELVIE. She’s taking her gift certificate to Bebe’s Nails & Spa.
