“Friday Night Geology Hike: Rockhounding 101”: Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation Commission

WCPARC Naturalist Shawn Severance leads a session of rock hunting, an activity that combines science, treasure hunting, and outdoor adventure. The group identifies rocks, gets an overview of Michigan’s geology, and talks about where it is okay to collect rocks. All rocks collected are left in the preserve. 6–8 p.m., Fox Science Preserve, 2280 Peters Rd.
