“Lamentations and Exultations”: Vocal Arts Ensemble
Benjamin Cohen directs this local 24-voice chamber choir in a program that includes various settings of Biblical texts from both the Book of Lamentations and the “exultation” chapters of the Epistle to the Romans (5:1-6:23). Also, Robert Ramsey’s great Renaissance motet “How Are the Mighty Fallen,” the Michigan premiere of Theo Morrison’s “Sicilian Muses,” soul songs by the Supremes, and much more. 7:30–9 p.m., St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 306 N.
