July 2: “American Badass.” Crowd-pleasing, USA-themed action B-movies: Killing American Style (Amir Shervan, 1988) is the tale of one man’s campaign to rescue his family, who are being held hostage by a ruthless gang after a heist and jailbreak go awry. Lone Wolf McQuade (Steve Carver, 1982), starring David Carradine and Chuck Norris, is a martial arts Western about a Texas Ranger’s mission to take down a local drug kingpin.
