“Nature and the Garden”: U-M Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Summer Lecture Series

June 6, 13, & 20. A series of talks by U-M faculty and local gardening and nature club representatives. June 6: Huron River Watershed Council stewardship coordinator Jason Frenzel and Washtenaw County Water Resources master rain gardener Susan Bryan on “Rain Gardens: Keeping Our Rivers Clean.” June 13: Ann Arbor Wild Ones vice president Loris Damerow on “Native Plants for a Healthier Landscape.” June 20: U-M Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum director Anthony Kolenic on “From ‘Place-based’ to ‘Land-based’: Indigenous Futures and Sustainable Stewardship.” 10–11:30 a.m., Washtenaw Community College Towsley Auditorium (Morris Lawrence Bldg.), 4800 E.
