Barn Sanctuary

Rescues and rehabilitates abused and neglected farmed animals while providing a safe haven where they can recover and thrive. Chelsea Clock Tower

320 N. Main, Chelsea
Built in 1907 as a water tower by the Glazier Stove Company. The renovation of the factory complex created office and retail spaces; additional renovated buildings surround a courtyard that now holds community events. The Chelsea Depot is available for rent and hosts the On The Tracks Songwriter Showcase.

Chelsea Milling Company

Landmark silos mark the home of one of the nation’s most resilient family companies, which began milling wheat and corn from surrounding farms in 1878. The present line of 14 mixes began with Jiffy biscuit mix in 1930. jiffymix.com

Oak Grove Cemetery

Established 1860. The names of many of Chelsea’s pioneer families, including Holmes, Congdon, Kemp, and Glazier, may be found among the markers on this 23-acre burial ground. Waterloo Farm Museum

Exhibits of 19th-century farming life maintained by the Waterloo Area Historical Society. Open June–Aug., Sat. 1–5 p.m. Annual events include Christmas on the Farm; Blacksmith, Soldiers and Log Cabin Weekend; Antique Tractor, Truck & Farm Equipment Show; and Pioneer Day.
