“The Tale of the Princess Kaguya”: State Theatre.

Mar. 23: (Isao Takahata, 2013). Studio Ghibli animated folktale, adapted from a 10th-century story about a tiny girl found inside a stalk of bamboo by an old bamboo cutter and his wife. She grows into a gorgeous young woman who enthralls all who encounter her. Japanese, subtitles. 7:15 p.m. Film screenings every Tues. & Thurs.–Sun.
